I've been wondering if I might be LI, too. I bought some Lactaid enzymes and have been taking one before I consume any dairy. Most of my dairy, comes in the form of non-fat yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese, low-fat shredded and hard cheeses, and low-fat ice cream. I also use fat-free milk in my cereal and oatmeal. After using up almost the entire box (30 tablets) of the Lactaid enzymes...I feel no difference. I'm still as gassy and bloated as I ever was. So...if the digestive enzymes aren't working, then what could be the problem? Could I still be lactose intolerant, even though the Lactaid doesn't appear to be helping at all? Is there anything else I can try to help ease the bloating and gas?
