help please

I had my b12 levels checked last march and they were at 512, however i had then checked again 2 weeks ago and they had dropped to 242 and my folic acid levels were also low so i was gived tablets to take for the folic acid.

Is the huge drop likely to be due to the low folic acid or not? I am a vegan and the blood test last year was only a month after i stopped eating meat, so could the drop be due to the fact its been a year since i stopped eating anything wih it in?

please help

Vitamin B12 is found only in animal foods. If you have a vegan diet, you need to get vitamin B12 from fortified foods and/or supplements.

Folic acid is found in many vegetables and fruits, as well as fortified foods.
