Special K Diet

Has anyone tried the special k diet? If so, Does it realy work?

What about the sacred heart diet? Anyone tried it? I don't like white milk. Can I replace the white milk with choc milk or anything else?

Thank You,

Bernice

Re: Special K Diet

Chocolate milk has a lot of sugar, so I doubt the diet would have as much effect if you consumed that.

You might be able to get away with some low sugar brands of soy or rice milk.

How about trying a low carb diet? I am doing the South Beach Diet.

As far as I know, no one really knows what the special k diet consists of, other than special k. It's a "diet" that's promoted by the company that makes it, so they might be somewhat biased. They have a vested interest. The more people who believe it's a real bonified diet plan, the more of their product they will sell.

I think the idea behind it is to limit portions (small servings). Based on that, any product could be a "diet". You could have the shredded wheat diet, for example, or the whole grain bread diet.

It's based on the fact that starches are highly appealing to 99% of overweight people.

Re: Special K Diet

Hi I do not use any cereal with additives such as BHT. My preference is the whole grain types. In the past some cereals with tocopherols were used, but the truth is I still suspect the completely whole grain totally unrefined cereals are healthier and less likely to constipate someone. Is this for gain or loss?
