I hope no one gets after me for this, but I've got to post it.
I got this joke in an eMail: "20 year study reveals that the best way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more." I was sitting at a table with a bunch of people and asked them, "Have you guys heard about the results from that 20 year study on weight loss?" Everybody perked up and paid attention, given the obsession we Americans have with the "easy button" for weight loss. After I told the joke, and I kid you not, all the slinder people started laughing and all the bigger folks got this look on their face of, "I don't get it?".
Why do people not realize that if you want to loose weight, you need to eat healthy and be more active. I think we need to stop trying to find the "secret" to slimming down and getting healthy and start trying to find the knowledge of what is healthy to put in our bodies.
I really wonder now, how many people out there actually know that they're not inherently handicapped against losing weight, but that its their habbits that do it. Hmm, I wonder.
