In my opinion, the best nutrition comes from natural whole foods. That would include fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds. And some protein may come from lean meat.
Another way of saying it: Stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Usually, the only thing gained by consuming processed foods is taste and possibly excess body weight.
