I am 29 years old and my height is 5.9" but my weight is below average i-e around 55kg. I want to increase the weight. Please suggest me a diet plan including fruits (including dry fruits), vegetables and grains. I dont want to use any medicine or supplement.
Ranchers often feed starches to their cattle to fatten them up for market. Those starches are whole grains (including corn), and potatoes. For dressing, use a liberal amount of olive oil.

Try adding butter to your cooking. You can add butter to mashed potatoes and to your cooked vegetables. You can also add cream and grated cheese to mashed potatoes and soups.
Cheese is a good source of protein, fat and calcium and is high in calories.
ok first of all if you want to gain weight you have to do it the right way. i am a nutrition student by the way. first of all eat breakfast every day!!!! bananas are higher in calories than other fruits so throw one in some high protein cereal, or slap some peanut butter one one. u should be eating about every 3 to 4 hrs. not a huge meal, but something. the fat you put into your body should be good fat, high mono and polyunsaturated. avocados, nuts, olive oil....do not just full your diet with crap like fries, pizza, cheeseburgers, etc bc they are fattening as you will just develop high cholesterol. there are many good protein powders out there u can add into a shake. do not go to high health or gnc for these. go to the health food store, whole foods or whatever u have. talk to someone in the supplements....ps. supplements are not bad, it just depends on the ones you get. most people working in these supplement departments of the stores are rd's or have knowledge in nutrition. remember....good fats!!!!!!

Not suggesting you should get overweight, just helping you gain some the same way i did
Hello,
55kg is a low weight as per your height for increasing the weight you should eat at least 700 calories in a day then your weight surely increases...
Hello,
For gaining weight there are 2 ways first you can eat lot's of carbs in your meal or you can
eat veggies and having quite time for gaining weight...
I agree with sam480, adding loads of carbs to your diet can really help you gain some weight. However it must be controlled intake as it can spiral out of control very fast depending on your metabolism.
