Low estrogen caused by low body fat?

A couple of months ago i went to my doctor for a check up and he weighed me and i ended up being underweight. Im 5'3 n around 94 pounds. He decided to take a blood test and the results were that i had low estrogen because i didnt have enough fat. He recommended me to go to starbucks every morning and eat a lot of junk food. What a doctor right? I dont like eating junk food so i was judt wondering what can i eat to gain weight? Nothing unhealthy. And if i gain weight, will my estrogen naturally balance out?

Right. It just goes to show that medical doctors are not nutritionists. And he might even own shares of stock in the Starbucks Corporation.

Extra virgin olive oil is healthy. You can add it to salads, soups or just about anything. Plain walnuts or almonds can be eaten as a snack. You could try having a baked potato or whole grain rice with olive oil as a dressing.

Yes, that's what should happen. More fat cells should result in a higher level of estrogen.
