I don't have this problem anymore but this is what I consider to be the biggest problem. The standard lunch usually consists of sandwiches! That's two slices of bread with high sodium lunch meat and/or cheese in between. Then a leaf or two of iceburg lettuce and one or two thin slices of tomato.

It doesn't provide very much nutrition. You might as well call it a bread (starch) sandwich. Or, if you prefer, you can call it a sodium sandwich.
More on this later.

Re: Eating Healthy at Work?

If sandwiches don't make the best lunch, then what does? In my opinion, you would need to prepare a lunch to go into a plastic container (or perhaps more than one container). What I would do is make a big salad at home and put it in a big plastic storage container. This salad might contain dark green leafy vegetables, celery, tomatoes, cucumber, garbanzo beans for protein, olive oil and fresh lemon juice for dressing. You might wish to have a separate container with one serving of whole grain rice. Or, instead of rice, you could have one slice of whole grain bread to go with the salad. I prefer Ezekiel bread because it's made with a variety of sprouts instead of flour. But not all supermarkets carry it so you might have to do some looking.

Re: Eating Healthy at Work?

Well, eating healthy at work isn't the problem for me. It is that my work place only serves vegetarian food! Haha
