dietary intake of vitamins/minerals

Hello everyone, I am new to this board and was wondering if there was a possiblity of consuming too many vitamins and minerals from food sources. The reason I ask is that lately I have been eating quite a bit of nutrient dense foods (oats, greens, bananas, nuts) and would hate to think that I'd be doing any harm in doing so. Some nutrients are stored in the body and I was concerned about toxicity. Thanks for any replies

I have never heard of anyone getting too many vitamins or minerals through food sources. I have heard of this happening only through supplements...as too much of any vitamin and/or mineral can be toxic to the body.

I would not worry. Just make sure you eat a varied diet and try to include foods from all food groups and brightly coloured fruits/veggies.

If you are still concerned, go to your Dr. for a checkup and have bloodwork done to make sure all your levels are ok.
