Prevacid & hives - Digestive Disorders Message Board

New doctor wed.Just started me back on 40mg twice aday after being on 15mg?
I have been having hives but it was blamed on morphine in my pump!

Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) because I don't have heartburn?

Just did a search on Pervacid side effects:
Hives around my eye & nose?
Swelling lips etc.
Can't breath and it's different than the asthma like breathing!
(My right diaphragm is paralyzed from surgery so I have sob sometimes.)

I've had 25 operations and this reflux problem is the wrose problem I've had!
God bless others with this!!

What the next step? If I can't take prevacid??

I don't know the next step but you sure sound like you are having an allergic reaction to Prevacid.

Aciphix is -- I think a weaker acting Proton Pump Inhibitor.

Sorry about all your problems - you certainly have had your share!!!
