As most of you know I was diagnosed with HP and an ulcer in September via biopsy. I took the two week antibiotic treatment (Prevpac) for two weeks and continued taking Aciphex afterward while my stomach healed. I weaned slowly off the Aciphex and was finally retested for HP last week. My doctor called yesterday to tell me that I tested negative. I want everyone that's suffering with this miserable, nasty bacteria to know that there's light at the end of the tunnel. I did not feel better right away, in fact, I felt worse. I gradually began to feel better and now feel much better. I still have some acid, a little reflux and still watch what I eat but the gnawing, burning pit of the stomach pain is gone.
