Anyone Have Functional Dyspepsia??? - Digestive Disorders Message Board

I was wondering if anyone out there has functional dyspepsia w/gerd and feels sick most of the time. I need some more options of treatment and ideas. Does anyone have this disease under control and if so how are you controlling it??? I need help. I can't stand feeling like crap on and off all the time. It is worse some months and not as bad other months. This is limiting my life. Thanks. MP

My GI doctor told me that I have dysfunction dyspepsia as well as functional bowel disorder (IBS). I have this problem on and off, just like you and it's frustrating to feel good some days (eating anything) and bad other days. I was told to take prevacid, adding zantac on bad days. I'm looking for some natural alternative remedies. I did start taking aloe vera juice--starting with one teaspoon daily. Not sure what the daily doseage is. I also started drinking chlorophyll (1 teaspoon) in a glass of water. Somedays I think it helps--but I fall back into the indigestion other days. Just like Miss Piggy--looking for other remedies!

I Tried Aloe Vera Juice Too..and It Works Great For Me So Far!

where do you buy the aloe vera juice and what kind is it?

I read and have tried 1-4 ounces of Aloe Vera, but this is the kind you can find in CVS or the grocery store. During the time I was taking it I was in the throes of GERD and gastritis so every thing hurt. Now that I have accepted that I have it, watch my diet and go to the Health food store. They have alkaline water, colon cleansers, and gastro health products. My feeling is what do I have to lose, I'm miserable most of the time any way. Maybe something will help. Patience is the key.
