Re: help!!!! h pylori i got it

Hiya, no you cant have another blood test or it will just show that you are still positive to the helicobacter. Ask for the breath test, its the least invasive and only takes 5 mins. The only other thing you can have is an endoscopy, which is invasive.

I just posted about mine on another thread. I did the first treatment , had an endsocopy because they wanted to see what was going on in there. While under they did what they call a rapid urease test , which tells right away if you still have it. I did ,so went onto treatment two, then I had the urea breath test which proved negative...So it took two treatments to get rid of it for me.
Second time around I was getting really worried, thinking well if this one doesnt work, what happens next time. I did the Losec HP7 day treatment. ( twice ) LOL

anyway good luck, let me know if you still have it or not.

Hi there i am new at this but i also was diag. with the bug but i was treated three times with that triple pack. I had symptoms for about 1yr before the treatment and still had symptoms. My gastroenterlogist told me not to worry that my other doc. was crazy to perscribe it three times. He aslo said that it can stay in your body and show positive test results even though it was cured. He said it can take a while before it leaves your body and if not you are always being exposed to it. Contaminated water or food most likley. Look if you are still having symptoms and know its not the bug demand that the doc find out what is causing the problems. Like for me i have been having so many test done that i am finally going to find out what i really have that is effecting my body. Well good luck tell them that your scared and you want action if not they will think its nothing.

Re: help!!!! h pylori i got it

I had H.Pylori last june, and it triggered IBS in me. The symptoms are just strating to subside after a year. Good luck with it. Although it was eradicated, i still had a lot of probelms that stemed from it.

Re: help!!!! h pylori i got it

In my case I haven't had different tests ( yet! ) to check for its succesful eradication, mainly new symptoms seemed to appear just to replace old ones . I do not think my Digestive Disorders are getting much improvements (The Whole Medical Community still hadn't come to terms to this most important discovery of the cause of digestive disorders in humankind )
