So i got the results back - Digestive Disorders Message Board

So I got the results back from my endoscopy. He said I have no h pylori and everything in my stomach seems to be fine from the biopsy results. Cept for Esophagitis , Gastritis and a Hiatal hernia.

This whole thing started with a pain slightly under the sternum and a little to the right and then it developed in this acid reflux. But the nexium really isnt helping.

So the Doctor scheduled me for an ultrasound next weds he said if they dont find anything then most likely it is a muscle pain and he will give me some relaxers and see what happens from there.

Iam reaching out to anyone who has had this type of problem that they cant figure out.
Do any of you think this could be my gallbladder giving me all these pains?
At first after I thought I pulled something the next week on my right side I developed these wierd Appendix and kidney feelings. It sort of felt like a little line of pain was going from my belly botton wraping around the side to my back. I dont experience those pains anymore but now I just get stomach pains on both my left and right side along with some reflux but it seems that these things are not all at once. If its one pain its another I have no idea what to do.
Please if anyone can give me some insight or info I would really appreciate it.
By the way can you be any age to have gallbladder probs?

Sorry to hear about all your problems!
As for Gallbladder problems they say the 4 F's make you at higher risk. Fat, Forty, Female and Fertile. I hardly doubt that though. I am 25, 110 lbs, yes I'm female and well I'm not fertile anymore because I had my tubes tied

I am scheduled to have my GB removed on the 22nd of March due to a thickened wall and lots of polyps. I suffer from pain under the right rib cage that goes to left side and in my back at times, nausea and fatigue. I also have mild gastritis which might be causing some of these symptoms as well.
Go for your ultrasound and that should tell you if anything is wrong with your GB. In the meantime don't worry!

Thank You for replying Donna I could really use those words now.
Did you get any reflux symptoms at all? And was the pain in your stomach the only symptoms you had? I read somewhere that you can have dark urine and your stool would be pasty and white. I dont no what to think. But please let me know what other symptoms you had if any.
I cant beleive iam having these problems seeing as how I go to the gym eat right most of the time and iam 21! But I guess these problems can happen regardless I always thank my lucky stars for my health and lately I dont think I even have that anymore.
If there is not something wrong with my GB i would hate to think that everything iam going thru is all mental and that my body would trick me like that. BTW it does run in the family.
And if my problem is muscular and would cause me to take relaxers then thats a whole diffrent ballgame.
But anyway thanks for replying and please let me know your other symptoms seeing as how we are around the same age.

Hello again,

Yes I also have acid reflux and I am currently taking Pariet for it. If I miss a day of taking it I regret it badly. I also have full feeling after only a few bites and bloating as well(most likely from the gastritis).
I went through numerous tests before the dr. decided it was my GB to blame. Have had blood tests, barium swallow, ultrasound, hida scan(for GB function), and endoscopy. Ultrasound came back that I had thickened GB wall and polyps, although Hida scan said GB was functioning normal. My problems all started when I was pregnant with my son(now 7 1/2 months old) I had the flu and was vomitting for 24 hours. After that I was nauseas all the time and it hasn't let up.
It's unfortunate that we have to suffer like this at such young ages(well I feel alot older physically LOL). I just hope that all this is gone after GB is removed. And I do hope you find out what is causing your pain. Please keep us updated on your ultrasound. Any more questions feel free to ask!
