In the past I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder which seemed to be a result of my stomach issues (going on 10 years now) or the stomach caused the aniexty and panic.
I'm confused. How did your stomach issues cause Panic Disorder?
The reason I ask is because typically anxiety is the culprit of some stomach problems.
I, like you, have somewhat similiar stomach concerns that no tests or doctors have been able to diagnose. I think, however, that my stomach problems are largely due to anxiety. I believe it's a somewhat unconscious anxiety. Just something to ponder. If I could control my mind, I think most of my stomach problems would subside. I'm not sure what the best remedy is for you, but
I personally take:
Mastic Gum, only 500mg (low dose)
Digestive Enzymes (after each meal)
Caraway/peppermint oil (30 minutes before each meal)
Calcium/Magnesium
Probiotics
Whole leaf Aloe Vera Juice
I've only been consistently taking these for a little over a month and have had some relief.
Any thoughts on a next step? Should I try to go back on some kind of anti-depressant? I know I have adverse reactions to SSRI's (so Lex and Zoloft are out), it would probably have to be a very low dose of Remeron or something.
I don't like the idea of becoming dependent on anti-depressants. Too many side effects. It seems your stomach condition is not severe enough to merit anti-depressants. I would search for a more natural approach. Maybe someone else has some remedy advice.
