Help! Scared its a heart attack! - Digestive Disorders Message Board

A week ago I had a stomach virus for about 24 hours that caused extreme abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Since then I have had pains in my upper abdominal region. I have to burb alot and it feels like a lump that is stuck in my stomach. It not a pain that is severe its just annoying. Sometimes it also feels like a lump in my throat whenever I swallow. Please tell me that this isnt a heart attack. Im 29 and I have had 2 people I know die from a heart attack in the last month. Am I next? Help please. BEcca

You're problem doesn't sound like your heart. To me it sounds digestive. Do you get abdominal pains after a meal? I had my gall bladder removed for a lot of the same symptoms. Especially the burping. I had pains in my right rib area that would radiate to my back as well as in the middle of my chest. The pain was shortly relieved by burping. I would go see a gastro doc. Good Luck.
