| Anyone had this HIDA scan problem?
Hi All,
Well, I had my HIDA scan this morning. I got there at 6:45 am and was told that it would be about an hour. I ended up being there for almost 5 hours! They couldn't see what I understand was my small bowel, so I couldn't get the CCK part of the test done. (One of the techs mentioned that my gallbladder might have a blockage). My Dr. is out of town, so they called his replacement after the radiologist looked at my film from the Hida. (First they had me walk a lot, then sit for an hour, but it still didn't work). Finally, I had an MRI done, and thank God I wasn't claustrophobic! I was then told that I could finish the Hida scan.(The MRI didn't show any gallstones or ducts, I was told). What a day! I had the worse headache! I'm REALLY curious to see what the results are! I am supposed to call the nurse tomorrow and see what they are! Just wondering if anyone else had an experience like this! Thanks!
