| Need help with endoscopy results
for about three years now I have had a lots of abdominal pain in my left and right ribs, and stomach sometime just do not feel like it should .
and I had acid reflux , so the doctor want me to take the endoscopy for a long time, but I just would not take it, but the nexium stop working, and all of my pain would go and come , so I took the endoscopy this two weeks ago and the results was.
1.Mild distal esophagitis with small areas of whitish exudates suspicious for Candida esophagitis.
2. Small hiatal hernia.
3. Mild gastritis at distal stomach.
The biopsies diagnosis was
Benign squamous and glandular cells
Fungal hyphae associated with Candide .
the doctor gave me fluconazole 100mg. to take for 10 days.
can anyone tell me What is CANDIDA I have not ever heard of anything like that.
thank for reply.
