I have tried fiber, colace, and laxitives. Nothing has worked or maybe I have not given them a long enough duration.
I started taking citricel last Friday and take it every night. I also have been drinking allot of fluids. The first coulple of days I felt better but then got bloated again. How long should I try fiber therapy to see if it works? What dose of Citricel should I take?
Also are there any foods or drinks to avoid, that may be adding to the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated!

A few easy steps you can take to help: eat live culture yogurt (no sugar), acidophilus, miso, raw garlic. These help establish a healthy intestinal environment. Try freshly ground flax seed daily (start with 1 tablespoon or less and build to 2 tablespoons as tolerated)to soothe the distress you're feeling, make your stools easier to pass, provide Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, aid with intestinal cleansing (while soothing), and provide a great source of fiber (that your body can actually use).
binding foods you might check out: cheeses, some nuts, starchy foods (potatoes, rice, crackers, white bread, etc), ANY boxed-mix foods, devitalized processed foods.
Not knowing what your diet is, it's hard to say. But, if MOST of the foods you eat are processed (fast foods, fried, high-carbohydrate(simple carbs), high fat, etc), it may be as easy as switching to whole and/or raw foods.
Good luck
