LEAKY-GUT SYNDROME..please help! - Digestive Disorders Message Board

Has anyone ever heard about repairing or curing leaky gut syndrome, caused by mercury toxicisity, due to MMr or Flu vaccines? My son has improved greatly from changing his diet, however, I want him to have a normal life. I know he would have to go through a process of detoxifying the mercury, but is there a process for repairing the intestines????If there is a cure please reply. Thank you

I was diagnosed with Leaky Gut about 2 years ago. My gastroenterologist is "into" alternative therapies instead of just prescription medicines (he's also an ex-military doctor, which to me is a strange combination!). He conducts medical studies on various problems. This is what he recommended for me, but PLEASE keep in mind that I am an adult female, well able to express opinions about side-effects, etc. Maybe you can mention these to your child's doctor and see what they recommend as far as dosages, etc. Glutamine, 500mg, 3 capsules twice a day, and Ultraclear Sustain, 1 scoop in chilled water or juice daily (he didn't say how much liquid). Thank you so much for the reply. We are going to have my son tested for mercury poisoning. He is being worked up for autism spectrum disorder. I have been able to really improve his general moods, and behavior, by keeping him on a limiited diet. The nystatin, and acidopholis are used to improve the integrety of the intestine im hopes to eventually cure the intestines, if itr is all caused by mercury.
