I have gallstones - Digestive Disorders Message Board

Hi everyone

I went to the ER, and the Dr. told before even examining me that i probbaly had gallstones because im 43, and my mom and grandmothers gallbladder problems. When he touched my belly i was in so much pain. They ran tests on me x ray, ultra sound etc, and the Dr came back and told me i defiantely have gallstones. I have an appointment with the surgeon this week. what is going to happen when i meet with the surgeon? I am really nervous right now if you guys could could give me some help and advice i would really aprreciate it.

When I was diagnosed with gallstones and sent to a surgeon it was basically an appointment to set up the surgery date and for her to explain what was to be done. There was never any questions about not doing the surgery or anything else. I had my surgery June 20th. It took 4 weeks to feel whole again. But it wasn't all that bad either. Mostly just sore muscles.
The surgery takes about 45 minutes. You go in in the morning and home in the afternoon. It hurts when you come out but they give you pain medications. The first day it hurts to stand and roll over but the pain lessons with each hour. I can pretty much eat what ever I want now.

there is a forum on [removed].com that you might find interesting about natural flushes that are supposed to get rid of stones without surgery?
