Here is my CDSA results and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what some of this stuff means and how I might go about fixing some problems. Thanks for any help that you can offer. - RedPalms
CDSA:Meridian Valley Labs Macroscopic Exam
Consistency: Very Soft....ABNORMAL
Fibers 3+.........ABNORMAL
Food Remnants 2+........ABNORMAL
Liquid or very soft due to rapid transit through intestinal tract, may be due to allergies, sensitivity, diarrhea, infection, or improper absorption. Presence of fibers and food remnants indicates improper food digestion. Microscopic Exam
Vegtable Fibers 15-20/HPF....ABNORMAL
Yeast 5-10/HPF....ABNORMAL
Suggested Follow Up: Heidelberg Capsule Gastric Analysis or Betaine HCL and Pepsin challenge. Stool Chemistry
Urobilinogen 4+ mg/dl....ABNORMAL
Butyrate .67 mg/GM...Nearly ABNORMAL (NORMAL=.65-3.84)
When elevated, suspect hypermotility, frequently due to allergy or an excess population of bacteria in the bowel that transformed bile into urobilnogen. Microbiology
Lactobacillus 0....ABNORMAL (Should be 3+ or more)
These organisms are normal inhabitants of the intestinal tract and are necessary for a balanced population of flora. Some of the major beneficial functions are: aiding in the digestion and absorption of nutrients; helping destroy hostile invading bacteria; providing an anti-tumor effect; reducing cholesterol level; controlling proliferation hostile yeast; and creating an acid environment whcih reduces the amount of undesirable bacteria.
