Unhappy Please help...

When I wake up the morning I always feel bloated and gassy. Its very embarassing and I don't know what to do about it. It makes me not want to go in public. I have also taken pills for heartburn not too long ago but now I'm not on them, even though I still get heartburn. Please help me before I have to go back to classes next week.

I am new to this message board so can only help by suggesting you change your diet if you have not tried this already. I have read that certain foods will cause this problem, such as milk, milk products, fried, and spicey foods. Try this for a couple of days and see how you feel when you wake up. Good luck

I have tried changing my diet but it doesn't change. What else can I do???

I am hoping somebody on here can help you. It sounds like something you are eating or drinking is causing this, that you may not be aware of. Eliminate fruits as well as milk and milk products, carbonated beverages, and sugar from your diet also. What I am reading says this is a hard problem to take care of and you need to eliminate one food or food group at a time, from your diet, to find the culprits. If this has been a long standing problem, it is probably something you have eaten or drank all of your life, but if it is something that has come on over the summer, you could try looking back to when it started and figure out what you added to your diet that may have caused this. Have you moved? I have a problem with water from a different source. I hope you get more help from others on here. good luck

Hi,

Your heartburn could possibly be caused by reflux and this could be to do with what you are eating. Your gas and bloating could also be to do with this, but also normally means that the bacteria in your gut is out of balance. I would try either eating live yogurt or taking some Acidophilis caps. Keep them in the fridge, do not take them with hot drinks as heat kills bacteria. Take them twice daily on an empty stomach and this should help by putting the good bacteria back in your gut.

Try this and see if it helps. Do you have any other symptoms though such as diarrhea/constipation or pains in your belly? Try excluding things from your diet also. It is possible it could be food related.
