Gastroenterologist can't explain my stomach pain- help!
Here is my background:
I have had this odd dull nauseous feeling in my stomach for almost 6 months. If I press about 4 inches below my sternum, my stomach is very sore in that spot. I have no other symptoms other than those. Here are the tests I have had, all of which have been normal:
-CBC
-Upper GI series
-Abdominal CT
-Right Upper Quadrant sonogram (to check gallbladder)
-H. pylori test
-Upper endoscopy
All the tests have been normal or negative and my gastroenterologist does not know where to go from here.
Does anyone have any input? I am thinking it could be parasites or something, although my symptoms are not completly consistent with that. Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I take no medication and have not been coughing. A hietal hernia was ruled out by my upper GI series. I also have nto noticed any correlation between what I eat and my condition. Basically, I have stumped the medical community.

Hi. I have been feeling nauseous also for about almost 3 months now. and i got a abdominal ct scan so far and all the blood tests. i am going to a gastroenterologist to do other tests soon. I had this earlier in the year and it went away but then it came back. So we'll see if they find anything. keep in touch.

Hey all,
Thanks for your replies! Everyone who is experiencing this, please please do what I did. Write down everything you eat in a journal. Then rate, on a scale of 0-10, your pain for that particular day. After a few weeks, see if you see any patterns. I did this and found that for some reason I have suddenly developed an "intolerance" for chicken of all things! For some reason, suddenly when I eat chicken I get nauseous and it lingers!
