growling noise - Digestive Disorders Message Board

Ok this is a strange question. No doubt. Everytime I eat dinner and relax afterwards, my stomach or my bowels makes some kind of strange growling noise. It sounds as if my stomach is growling. But I think it's my bowels. And I can tell the difference between the stomach grumbling and bowel grumbling. I don't know if it's excess gas or what. It's very embarassing if I'm with a girl. It almost sounds like I'm farting. I try to control it. I don't want to let the gas out when I'm with her. It's just an annoying problem. I don't know if something like beano may help. Or if there is a way I can avoid this.
Please help if you can.

it's called *borborygmus*..intestinal rumbling caused by..you guessed it..moving gas. Try otc beano..might help. Also for future reference..take note of the type of foods you consume before the borborygmus strikes again..so you can avoid them before your next date!!

You also might try eating a bit slower because the faster you eat, the more air you take in with each bite!
