Nausea only overnight...

I wrote this before but no answers. I can't believe no one here does not have this problem. I had my gallbladder out 5 months ago. Still waking up in night - usually about 2 or 3 a.m. with nausea, sweating, chills, in various degrees depending on the night. Happens more when I have eaten away from home and wondering about food intolerance or just inability to digest fat. I am going to see the gastro doctor again but trying to get more info first.

Re: Nausea only overnight...

I had my GB out over a year ago and I have the same problem--actually I had it happen last night about 3 am. I woke up feeling extremely nauseous, gurgling stomach, sweats then the chills. It lasted about an hour then I was fine although my stomach still felt a little quesy. I have this happen about 2 times a month sometimes more and it usually happens if I eat later then 7 pm. Last night I ate a piece of hubbys chocolate bar (I had a craving!) and that was the last thing I ate. So I am wondering if I may be lactose intolerant? I know my mother is. But I didn't know that it could cause all those symptoms to happen! Shhheeeeesh!
I mentioned this to my dr. and he said something about malabsorbtion syndrome because I also have bouts of dizziness and diarrhea as well.
If you find out from the dr. what is possibly causing your symptoms could you let me know? It would help me to possibly figure this out.

Re: Nausea only overnight...

I will post anything I can find out. I am waiting for next bout here at home - usually happens when traveling. Good to know others have same symptoms but wish we could find out why, etc. Elaine
