Do I have symptoms of acid reflux??

*I have been having some regurgitation of very NASTY acidic stuff. It burns when I swallow it back down

*It also happens a little when I belch as well

*I get some chest pain when I sleep at night, and they go away within a few minutes of standing up.

*I also have a sratchy cough that goes away at night. It's more that my throat is bugging me and scratchy that's why I cough.

* I feel the need to clear my throat often.

I know these are classic sympoms of Acid Relux, but I'd LOVE to get some feed back.

Hi there! Yep, you have classic reflux symptoms. I had all those and then some like bad taste at the back of my throat all day long, hoarse voice by the end of the day, nausea, tenderness at the point the stomach/esophagus join, actual regurgitation of stomach acid when bending over to name a few.

Get to your doctor and ask for an endoscopy to be done. Even though you have the typical symptoms, your doc should take a look at the esophagus to determine the extent of damage before just prescribing PPIs. Dietary changes may also be in order, and elevating the head of your bed 6" with blocks may also help.
