my wife has been diagnosed with gastroparesis. She has lost over 15 pounds in just 6 weeks. she doesn't want to eat because she says it makes her very nauseous, and a few hours later her her chest gets so full she says it feels like she can't breathe. Is that a normal part of this condition? Will this ever go away so she can eat "normal again." She is sick every day and i don't know what to do. Her Dr. put her on reglan but after one day on it she was so agitated and tired she doesn't want to use it again. We have only read terrible things about reglan and are looking for something else. Someone told us about Motilium but when i called a pharmacy in Canada they said it was going to take up to eight weeks. We had domperidone ordered from a compounding pharmacy in Orlando; but my wife is afraid to use it as she is questioning whether it is safe. The medicine arrived in a medicine bottle with all the prescription info her dr called in; but they are just plain capsules filled with white powder.I was wondering if anyone else is on a compounded form of domperidone and if theirs is the same as well. If not does anyone know where i could order the motilium and get it faster from the manufacturer. Also, if anyone else has suffered from this we would appreciate any information you could share.
