I have a severe sharp pain in the middle of my upper amdomen just below the ribs cage! It comes suddenly start strengthening until I cannot lie down or sleep or even walk! Stays for 2-3 hours then go away like nothing is there!!!! Sometimes it moves to my mid left side of abdomen.!

I visited 3 different doctors, made Ultra Sound, TV Scan, blood test, and even visited a specialist Gastrologist, All clear!

One suggested it is gases and gave me a drugs, and other suggested it could be allergy and gave me drugs. Either drugs could not help! I have been like this for the last 2 weeks having this pain 1 time every 2 or 3 days.

Any ideas?

Did the GI doctor send you for a barium swallow test? That can tell you if you have an ulcer and other things. I've had one, it's easy, just an x ray after you drink me liquid. Also, you might want to have an endoscopy...make sure you get sedated, you won't feel or know anything. You might have acid reflux. I am not sure what you mean by TV scan. The endoscopy enables them to see your esophagus and stomach, any irritation or ulcerations. Good luck...if they don't want to do these tests, get another opinion...these 2 tests are really helpful for the pain in the location you mention.

paula is right you need an endoscope exam.
I am sort of surprised that you went to a Gastro Doctor that did not suggest it.

It could be that the Doc was not approved for an endo exam but that is sorta unusual these days.
I once went to one that was not approved for a colonoscopy for 3 years -- and another Doctor told me but that was 18 years ago. Now days-- I think they all are approved??

Well indeed, the gastrologist gave me medicine against excess acids in the stomach. told me to use it for 1 week. If not releived then he stressed that I should do endoscopy.

yesterday had my first pill in the morning, but had another pain attack at night. today is my second day on pills. I know I won't feel much better after 1 day. Hope the pain clears up and there will be no need for the endoscoy.
