I have heard H.pylori tested for by blood test, breath test, endoscopic exam with biopsies but this is the first time I have heard of a stool test. But, I certainly will check it out.

As you may know --- NO bacteria lives in an acid environment and with the stomach being acid it was thought that H.pylori bacteria could not live in the stomach but it really lives in the folds and thick mucous of the stomach lining. It is also very common to have present in healthy people with no ulcers???

I can only tell you from my experience,i had blood tests done and it came back negative. They did a scope test and biospy and it came back positive. In the research ive done the stool test and the breath test seem to be more reliable.Especially after a round of the antibiotics.
