Post stomach pain from medicine?

Probably have acid reflux. Drs. appt. soon. Started Pepcid AC 40mg 2x day about 6 weeks ago. Also given .5 mg. Xanax once a day. I'm swallowing better and think reflux might be better, but now flare up of colitis like symptoms with gnawing, burning stomach, above the navel with sharp spasm now and then. I used to feel that pain when I took a large dose of Erythromycin before I went to the dentist (I have mitral valve prolaspe.) I am lactose intolerant so I don't know if yogurt is helping or making it worse. Stopped the Pepcid today to see if there is a difference. Can't take health food remedies because of irregular heartbeat and need to check with dr. first.

Help on any comfort foods please? Fish

I don't take the erythromycin anymore. They have me take clydimycin (sp.)now and in a smaller dose, and just once. New recc from American Heart Assoc., and I'm fine with that. I take Zoloft for anxiety they feel is caused by my oversensitivity to adrenaline, (from the mitral valve) I'm taking the xanax now to see if it would calm my muscles when I was having swallowing problems recently. Also took it for a real short time 2 years ago when my mom died. Interesting that I stopped the Pepcid 40mg 2x day yesterday, and the gnawing feeling isn't as bad. Go figure!
Fish--- By the way, what is aciphex for?

Aciphix is a PPI to reduce stomach acid. It is sorta slow in taking effect.
