excessive gas - Digestive Disorders Message Board

Ever since I met my bf I have had to deal with him and his gas problem. He relieves his gas just about every other hour even while he sleeps. Its a embarressing problem for him but he wont go to the hospital not to mention he can stink up a room in a matter of seconds. Im hopeing someone here can help me find out what exactly is wrong with him. He's 48, doesnt eat much, he drinks pepsi with milk, and he smokes. Please help me because I really dont want to stock up on airfresheners for the rest of his life.

Gas that smells usually indicates that your digestion is off. Too much sugars can easily mess it up. Eating yogurt and taking a probiotic supplement will help to re-balance the friendly bacteria in the gastro tract.

Also, chlorophyll that is in green leafy vegatables is a great deodorizer for the intestines. You may not get him to eat alot of veggies whereas You may be able to get him to take a Chlorophyll capsule that you can buy at a health food store and Activated Charcoal tablets sometimes work to absorb gas.

As you know it's difficult to change people that think everything is OK.
When he has some serious health problems because of choices he has made--- he'll be the the one posting messages instead of you.
