I have been on Nexium for 6 wks of an 8 wk course. When I come to my last week do you think I should cut down slowly like take one every other day instead of every day?
Also the only symptoms I have left are a very dull ache in my ribs on the odd occassion and this annoying lump in my throat. I've had two days in a row without it but after food tonight it came back. It feels like a little burp trapped at the base of my throat. I do burp and have some relief but it comes straight back again. All my other pains seem to have gone but I can't think what to do to get rid of this one, any ideas?

I would suggest cutting down slowly. Some folks (including myself) believe that you can suffer from what's called a rebound effect if you quit all of a sudden. Basically this effect is due to your stomach going back to producing normal levels of acid which may cause pain. The pain may stem from your stomach getting used to the acid again. I am not sure if cutting back slowly will help prevent this effect but it seems like it might help. Good luck!
