21 year old running into problems - Digestive Disorders Message Board

Hi all, I've been an overall a healthy person. I just quit smoking about 1 month and a half ago, and I used to be a heavy pot smoker as well and no longer do that either. Recently I've had 2 hospital trips to the ER. The first one was when I smoked some marijuana and my heart started to race like crazy, felt like it was going to rip through my chest. Being an average pot smoker this was unnormal. I felt sick and vomited. The hospital did an O2 test, EKG, chest xray, and other heart thing that had needs on it (looked like a polygraph). Everything came out normal and the doctor said everything was benign. Now about 1 month later after this incident I had quit everything, I dont even drink anymore. I was at my aunts house eating some food, and I got really dizzy and puked. I had my friend drive me home and everything started to spin and I felt really sick. My hands started to tingle because I think I got scared and started to hyperventilate. I went to the hospital, and they did a blood test, urine test, CAT scan of my head and everything came out normal. My doctor said that I was healthy but may suffer from Vertigo or something is messed up in my GI track. He gave me meclezine ( i thinks that how you spell it ) which I guess helped. But I dont think that I have vertigo. Couple weeks after this now I feel like I have problems breathing. I get pain in my chest, and when I'm out moving I feel sick. I'm the person know as who can eat anything and everything. Now I cant really eat a lot because I get sick. At night sometimes I have trouble sleeping and I vomit to get whatever is bothering my stomach out. Also I noticed twice I had blood in my stool but that has seemed to have gone away, and then I had something like foam come out in my stool. Was just liquid and bubbles. Honestly I dont know whats wrong and I'm trying to figure it out. I still dont feel normal and its bothering me that I dont.

PS. It also feels like I have trouble breathing, but my doctor said that my lungs sound really clear.

i don't know ehat it could be, it may be an ulcer or another stomach problem. Have you've gone back to the doctor or seen a gastro specialist??

wow, your symptoms sound a lot like a panic/anxiety attack i had. here's my story, and you can see how it is similar. i was driving my boat to the potomac river to do some fishing. this is a happ time. no anxiety. however, the week before that, i was there and there were huge waves and we were worried about making it back safe. however, i wasn't even thinking about that. i pulled into the boat launch... was going about 15mph and suddenly i felt a pain in my chest. i started rubbing it but i didn't feel any muscle problem. it was on the left side near the heart. i was worried i might be having a heart problem, although i wasn't too worried because the pain wasn't that bad. just some discomfort. then all hell broke loose. within 30-45 seconds, i started feeling horribly nauseated. i stopped the truck jumped out and my wife thought i was going nuts. i kept telling her i thought i was dying. i was having a stroke or a heart attack i kept saying. at the same time i was nauseated, my arms, face, etc all started tingling. i thought i was going to die.

i mentioned this to my brother and he said "oh, you had a panic attack". i didn't believe him because i thought i was in happy spirits. i looked it up and the symptoms matched me perfectly. i've noticed since then i start to have a panic attack, and i just calm myself down and i'm fine. for about 3 months after that experience, i was constantly worried about having another attack. these are all classic symptoms.

look it up and you may find a match in symptoms just like i did.
