Middle of Night Problems

Feeling okay during the day, I find myself awakening at the same time every nite - 2 AM with a heavy feeling in my abdomen and a slight nausea with burping. I am thinking its GERD related but would like an thoughts about what to take prior to bedtime which could eliminate this problem. I have been watching my diet re GERD. HELP?

Re: Middle of Night Problems

I have been having the same problem. I find that when I eat something late at night then the nausea, etc. happens so I avoid eating anything after 6 pm. If I do that I am fine. I was diagnosed with Chronic Gastritis.

Re: Middle of Night Problems

Hi Diamond - I make it my business of not eating past 8 PM. I also try to eat light. I am thinking it could be gastritis, and I have been putting off going to see a doctor, but if it keeps up, I'll have no choice.

Re: Middle of Night Problems

I would see a dr. or gastroenterologist. They can usually diagnose any digestive problems. The longer you put it off the worse it will likely get. I put off going for a long time and now I am dealing with a ton of digestive problems. Anyhow, hope you feel better soon and make an appt!
