No bowel movement since surgery, is this normal?

I had my gallbladder removed Wed. I have not had a bowel movement since then. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I have been eating. Last night I pushed myself to eat something that would normally make me run to the bathroom....still no BM.

I would appreciate any information.

Thank you,
Michele

It's the pain meds that make you constipated. You could try a stool softener if you're that concerned.
