I get bloated after eating small meals even and it comes with shortness of breath and heart speeding up sometimes!! Is this acid reflux? My back also gets achy when this happens! Wierd!
Hi, i experience exactly the same thing. I dont even have to eat that much and i feel bloated and have the shortness of breath as well as the achy back.
If i try to sit up really straight or stretch really high its seems to ease off a bit, but cant walk around like that all the time. If you find out please let me know
I think this is connected to my eating or drinking alcohol occassionally, but I've changed my diet anmd it is still hard to figure out the cause of all this. I ate more this past thanksgiving because I was gfeeling better, now I have horrible nausea along with the other symptoms. I hope we find an answer soon!!
Hi Guys: I have the same symptoms, Anybody here find anything out
Has anybody been checked for gerd?? I also have abdominal discomfort!!
Had many cat scans and endoscopes
Would really like to hear from you guys!!
Any of you still have your GB
Doc thinks it might be gastroparesis(or slow gastric emptying) meaning your stomach muscles don't contract enough to move the food out. So he put me on erythromycin and said it could help. I'll let you know how it goes. I hope I don't have this. I've read on it and it sounds awful. But then again I've felt awful the last few months. I am bloated again now and barely ate half a meal. (then again it might be the 5 ding dongs I ate when I was feeling good yesterday!) I'm rtying to figure this thing out. Hopefully we can help each other. Feel free to add any of your experience, food tips, advice, etc.......
I have the same problem, been to a few doctors and still really no answers. I figured because it happened with virtually anything I ate, it was something wrong with the digestion area versus food allergies, but, I just don't know. I've had so many tests done that the doctors said basically it was anxiety, which I find hard to believe. If anyone has the answer to this issue, please post.
Are you seeing a GI specialist? If you are, then see a better one. I agree with the earlier poster that you probably have a motility disorder, most likely gastroparesis. There is a specific gastric-emptying scan to test for this. Not difficult.
Thanks for the advise, AU! My Doc put me on Errythromycin to help the motility? but it didn't help too much. Next, he wants to try Zelnorm? I guess he figures it's easier to give the meds and see if they work than order the tests? I wonder if I SHOULD change GI docs.
I had the exact symptoms. The doc did an endo and found out that I have a large sliding hiatal hernia with mucosal prolapse. So not only does the hernia slide up into my chest cavity, the lining of my stomach also slides around. It is made worse by the size of meals, yelling, singing or anything that puts pressure on my stomach (ie: sit ups or the dog jumping on me.) The doc told me it was causing my breathlessness and my back pain.
