| acid reflux or bile reflux?
I had gastritis diagnosed earlier this month, moderate gastritis in the antrum (near the duodenom). Negative for H Pylori. My main symptom is a strong burning in the pit of my stomach that occasionally goes through to the back. Also have nausea. I have been on Protonix and it hasn't made much difference. I also have a low HIDA ejection fraction and may have my gall bladder removed and that brings up another worry. Acid reflux is usually responsive to PPI or other treatments. Bile reflux often is not, from what I've read so far. The symptoms are similar. I have read that following gall bladder removal, bile reflux often gets worse. Great! Anyone knowledgable or experienced with bile reflux??
