Has anyone tried this product before? - Digestive Disorders Message Board

My hubby has been wanting me to see a Natural Healing specialist for about a week now in hopes to find another way to deal with my gallbladder problems then surgery. I finally went today and talked to her. She did a few muscle tests on me, which I'm not sure I really believe it or not, BUT she told me that I didn't have any stones, just sludge. I didn't tell the lady anything either but that's what my dr told me.

She recommended this product called Cynarol, which is an artichoke concentrate. She said that it will dissolve the sludge and I'll be back to normal.

Had anyone tried it or anything else like it?

I'm going to give it a try for a few days and see how I feel but I'm not reayd to cancel my surgery just yet.

Hey, Forensicmom! I just posted about this to lola in the other thread about gallstones passing. Not familiar with that product but I am living proof that at least in some cases it IS possible to treat gallstones naturally. I did accupuncture and reflexology religiously, juiced fresh apples every day, took a formula from my accupuncturist and also an over the counter supplement (unfortunately I can't remember the name but I'm sure it would come up in searches on supplementation for this problem). Over 8 years later I'm attack-free and the last time I had a sonogram my internist detected only one stone where there had been many.

I am by no means dissing surgery -- everyone has to do what they feel is right for them. Also, I can't say it will work for everyone but I wanted to let you know there are alternatives out there. Anyone trying to treat ANYTHING homeopathically, just realize that you have to be seriously diligent and that it's not cheap!

Best of luck -- I remember all too well how painful a gallbaldder attack is!

I'm debating this with my hubby b/c he wants me to hold off on surgery and give this a try. My problem is, I've been in pain every day since December and it's making me so tired and down from feeling sick. For me, I just feel like the surgery is some relief "now". I know if I go the homeopathic way, it could take months.

Certainly your choice -- the trick to all these things is making a choice that's best for you but also educating yourself as to potential alternatives. As I said, I can't guarantee that the natural way is for everyone but I am living proof that at least in some cases in can work for gallstones. I just looked some stuff up -- you would need to do more research on protocol and amounts but I'm fairly certain that lecithin was at least among the counter supplements I took. Again, these were not the only things I did -- I attribute my success to the combination but who knows which component was most significant? In terms of the timeline, I can't remember how long it took but it was NOT months before I started to feel better. I would have opted for surgery if it had! Attacks were so bad I was rendered helpless for up to 8 hours at a time.
