| I Think I Have Giardia, What Else Could it Be?
ive been having stomach problems for about 2 weeks now. i know i drank unfiltered well water that i was warned not to drink, but i drank it anyway.
i dont have health insurance and cant afford to see a doctor, so ive been looking up symptoms to see what it might be. the only thing that doesnt fit is i read that it takes about 2 weeks for symptoms to develop. it took me about 2 days before i started having problems.
as for symptoms, i get a nasty stomach ache every morning, and it takes usually 2 bowel movements to get rid of it. but it will then go away immediately. then its off and on during the day, sometimes i have a mild ache, sometimes nothing at all. mostly its feeling rumbling in my stomach and like i need to use the bathroom but when i try, i dont really need to.
i suppose this could really be anything. also after reading a lot, it seems like the prescribed drugs for giardia dont always work, and can sometimes be more painful than the parasite itself. im not sure if i should just wait a little longer and see if it will go away??
also what else could this be? im in excellent health, im sure its something i picked up, im just assuming from water, since i dont know what else it could be.
