Has anyone tried a product called "Ceasefire"? Apparently in combines both mastic gum and DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice). From what I've read about Ceasefire, it relieves heartburn and indigestion. I have heard that DGL alone can ease acid reflux, which I seem to be having more of lately. And Mastic Gum is supposed to protect the mucosal lining of the stomach. It sounds like a promising combination-- although I suppose one could take DGL and Mastic Gum individually as well.
I just feel like I'm at my wit's end. I finished Triple Therapy for H Pylori about a month ago, but my symptoms have not disappeared. I don't know how long it's supposed to take....I'm also wondering if I have chronic gallbladder problems-- I'm getting a repeat abdominal ultrasound in about a week, and I'm submitting a stool sample to check for the presence of H Pylori.
One thing I find frustrating about digestive issues (other than the fact that the doctors I've seen haven't been able to diagnose anything), is that it seems like a lot of the common problems (gallbladder, H Pylori, etc.) all have similar symptoms. And I always seem to have some of the symptoms, but not all of them.
So if anyone has tried Ceasefire, let me know. Or if you can suggest any additional tests that you think I should have to rule out or confirm any other digestive ailments, let me know. Or, if you just want to vent about all this like I just have, vent away! Thanks for reading.
