pain on left side under my left breast - Digestive Disorders Message Board

I am a 70 yr old female.

This just happened today first time. Intense pain (where I jump up) two inches from my left side under the left brease. Lasts for about 10 seconds. Goes away and maybe 2 to 3 hours later it happens again. Could this be an ulcer? I do take aspirin every day 81 mg and blood pressure pills. No other medications. I also have heartburn on and off.

When I've had pain under my left breast, it's been from trapped gas. I take Gas X or peppermint pills. I also have heartburn and have to take Prilosec OTC for it. I'm not sure if the type of pain you have is from an ulcer. I also take 81 mg. of aspirin a day. If it keeps up, I'd go see a Dr. to make sure it's nothing serious.

It almost sounds like a muscle spasm. But I would go to the dr just to make sure..
