| Hello, new here, and a few quick questions :)
Hi,
I was diagnosed with Vit B12 deficiency, followed by another test that came back positive for parietal cell antibodies.. and off to the gastrologist I went! Had an upper endoscopy this morning (hah!) and the preliminary results are:
1. Normal mucosa in the whole esophagus
2. Erythema and petechiae in the antrum (biopsy for H-pylori)
3. Normal mucosa in the whole duodenum (biopsy)
4. Otherwise normal EGD to second part of duodenum
I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to stomach stuff. 1, 3, and 4 seem to be a good thing (normal is good, right!) but what 2 means... I have no clue. Tried to search around the internet but couldn't really find anything helpful.
If any of you could help me figure this out, I'd really appreciate it!
