| bad pain in his stomach...help please and any info is nice...
my boyfriend started having really bad pains in his stomach last sunday (December 2, 2007). He wasn't able to work that monday-wednesday becasue he was hurting so bad. he went to the doctor on that monday and they took blood. his results were that the CBC looked fine. he was still hurting and went back to the doctor on Wednesday and took more blood. those results were that his pancreatic enzymes were high. they gave him medicines and all. yesterday ( December 10, 2007) he had to get more blood taken and got his results back today and his pancreatic enzymes were still high. now this thursday (December 13, 2007) he has to have a CT scan so they can better diagnose him. they told him last week that he had pancreatitis inflommatory.
what do you think the problem could be?
what causes pancreatic enzymes to be high?
