Everyone experiences different pain w/ gb.....is it...sharp,dull,ache????

I am still trying to figure out exactly what is it am I experiencing is it Gallbladder pain....when I have a attack my pain is not a sharp pain it's quite different. It's more like a upper abdominal right quad squeezing,pressure pain with extreme bloating and gas and I can't breathe.

Before I had mine removed (I had polyps and inflammation but no stones) I had dull pain under my right rib cage that would travel to my back right shoulder blade. Had other symptoms (nausea, diarrhea, bloating, gas) but they were from a different problem or possibly GB but never went away.
Have you had an ultrasound or a Hida Scan done? That will tell you if it's your GB or not.

Ya I had a U.S. and it showed stones.....but my bloodwork is normal and when the Dr. examins the gallbladder area it doesn't produce pain at that time. Of course when I have seen him I am not in a gb attack. I believe he thinks I should feel pain when he exams me but I don't at that time.
I have another appt. with him I will be telling him I don't want to go through another attack so I will see what he says......I haven't had a hida scan so maybe he will order one.
