small bowel series and colonoscopy

Today they ordered a small bowel series and a colonoscopy. I've had a colonoscopy before, but never a small bowel series and not sure what to expect.

They also said the CT scan showed a lot of stool in the intestines (could have told them that) so he told me to continue the benefiber, add miralax and he prescribed Levbid for the cramping/spasms. I'm hopeful it's just a matter of emptying out, although I've tried that several times on my own (citrus nitrate and MOM). They want the colonoscopy to see where the blood is coming from. They also tested my thyroid, saying that could also cause bowel problems. I've lost 20 lbs over a short amount of time.

I'm just needing to feel normal - I own a business and it's been very difficult to work as of late. Fingers crossed.
