My daughter was diagnosed with gastritis the only thing they told me to get her to do is rest keep hydrated and wait for it to pass. The did prescribe her Miralax and I had to dissolve it in liquid so it would return her digestive system back to normal.
Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining along with Pain that is similar to an ulcer.
Doctors usually prescribe an anti acid drug like a Proton Pump Inhibitor. But, they never seem to work for me and I get gastritis most every time I have any sort of infection and have to take a round of antbiotics.
The best cure that I have used that was given me by an Alternative Care --MD is Mastic-- taken -- twice daily between meals-- 2-500mg capsules also a probiotic supplement -- like PB-8.
Anyone ever have gastritis and what was done to treat it. Thanks
chronic gastritis is a long term inflmmation of the stomach lining for which you have to take medication to treat...acute gastritis passes with time, its like a stomach virus....
