throat

I feel like I have something in my throat. Like I swallowed a pill and it didn't go all the way down. I have been burping a little, but I have never had heartburn except when I was pregnant with twins 7 years ago.
I have no idea what this is. Help it is so frustrating.

Re: throat

I had this problem last year, sometimes it lasted for 8 hours. I had had two surgeries and thought it was a result of the NG tubes.I had an endoscopy that showed nothing out of the ordinary but the scope itself must have stretched the esophagus enough to relieve it, because I didn't have any spells for months.Maybe I just relaxed myself knowing it wasn't serious. DR said its sometimes a nervous spasm.I have had a couple incidents in the last couple months, but nothing like it was. I do have many occasions when 6-8 hours after I eat I feel something and cough out food. So weird.

Peacefrog
I had the exact same thing as you. I felt like I could not swallow and in Oct 06 had scope and they found nothing. After scope I felt fine and could swallow so was thinking like you that the scope stretched it enough. the problem has again started up and my hub saids its all in my head and to try to stop stressing and thinking about it....Yay right easier said than done

Re: throat

Hi, you might want to go to the "Acid Reflux" forum. Having a "lump in the throat" is a common symptom that reflux has irritated that portion of your esophagus/throat. Along with some burping (but that depends).
