Depends on the treatment and the type of H.pylori. There are lots of information out there on various treatments, mostly a combination of antibiotics (x3) and antacids. I believe that the general treatment, when found, is a trio of antibiotics for 2 weeks, but some studies have shown that the second week isn't much more effective than a one week study. They then have to test again and may have to followup with alternative treatments if the first round didn't help.

In addition to antibiotics, There are some studies on DGL Licorice, Broccoli Sprouts, and Mastic Gum on treatment for Ulcer's that you can look into that may be of special interest.
