| Strange bowel problem at nightime
I have an unusual bowel problem that happens mostly at night while I am lying down or sleeping. I wanted to see if anyone else has this problem or has heard of it.
I will feel constipated or bloated while lying down. When I get this feeling, my heat rate will usually rise from my norm of 65 to anywhere from 80 to 120 beats per minute. I also sometimes get a slight pain or numbness in my left arm and upper back. Generally, once I have a bowel movement or release some gas, the numbness will go away and my heart rate will drop back to 65 or so. This all may happen in a period of 15 minutes to 3 hours. This has been happening for over 2 years now. It does not happen every night.
My GI doctor thinks it may be a reaction to a food that I may be allergic to, such as wheat, dairy or something like that. I have been ruled out as having any heart issues. I have a colonoscopy scheduled in a week.
Does anyone have any clue as to what this may be?
